  We had a very enjoyable two night stay at the Capitola. The location couldn't be better - steps from the beach, shopping, and restaurants, and minutes from the wharf. Breakfast was adequate, and the room was very nice but small. The shower pressure was great, and the water was plenty hot, which is a big deal to us.
  
  One thing we didn't like, but was out of the hotel's control, is the parking. It is a nightmare and can be very stressful. If you are somewhat able bodied, we highly recommend you park in what is called the lower parking lot - the one a tad further from the beach - and just walk down to the hotel. It really isn't a bad walk.
  
  The cheese and cracker hour was also very nice. We enjoyed hanging out with the hostess for the evening, Katy, who provided some great conversation.
